The interior genre has captivated me for a very long time.  I love to represent fabric in paint, and I’ve always loved to put paintings in paintings.  Spending the hours watching windowed light move through a room, stopping it here and there on a silk drapery or a waxed table top, collecting it in the reflections of china, and saving it all on the canvas as dusk arrives is, for me, a heavenly pursuit.  And that’s not to mention the thrill of bringing accurate perspective of a space into complementary composition.

I paint interiors on commission and on site, which, obviously, means that I often travel to accomplish the work.  The size range of the paintings shown here are from 14x18 to 36x44 inches.  Generally six to eight painting days are required for completion.  My accommodation arrangements are usually provided by the client, and I most enjoy residing in the house where I am working. I have made paintings of interiors in cities around the country and I hope for the opportunity to make many more.  References are available upon request.
